Meaning of Paddle Design: Based on Algonquin traditional story of the medicine Woman in the moon; teaching to appreciate and protect sacred knowledge and to be careful what you for it may not come in the form you expect. In the story a powerful woman healer wished to now how the world would finally end. Instructed by a spirit to hide away from other humans she traveled to the moon. She still waits patiently to this day and when her question is answered she will finally return home.
Short Artist Biography: I am a working artist that currently resides in North Bay. I attended Nipissing University with a BFA with honors and a minor in Native studies. I mostly paint and draw and focus on realism and abstraction.
